Last Monday night the 2nd grade classes at Jeremy's school put on a program for their parents. It was put together by the PE teachers, so the program highlighted different exercise things that they had been working on. There are nine 2nd grade classes, so first they had 5 classes come out and do a little routine to "Great Balls of Fire". They used these things that looked like frisbies, but they had an indention in them so they could spin them on their fingers. It was cute. Then the next four classes came out and did a routine using colored scarves to the song "Dueling Banjos." This was the group that Jeremy was in. We lucked out with our seats too. Jeremy was right in front of us the whole time, it was great to be able to see him so well.
After the scarf routine, they brought out all of the 2nd graders and they performed to a song called "Give Me Ten". In this routine they did 10 push ups, 10 sit ups, 10 leg lifts and 10 crunches. Then they did a fun song called "The 12 Days of Gym Class". Jeremy was in the first group, so they had the first day of gym class and they did an "arm flapping, chicken kind of thing".
All in all it was really cute and it was fun to see Jeremy in the program. Max loved all the music and movement. Below you will see a lot of pictures from the program. I only wish you could hear the music too because all of the songs were so fun.
Well that is all for now. I hope all is well with you. Jeri
