A few weeks ago, Nicole's Girl Scout troop took a trip to Build A Bear and they got to build there own animal and get an outfit for it. They had a lot of fun and they got a special Build A Bear patch to go on their Brownie Vests.
This is the puppy that Nicole picked out. (No the puppy in the title is not a real one, this is the one I was talking about). She named her Chocolate.
Here is Chocolate getting her stuffing.
Trying to pick the right outfit.
A blue and white cheerleader outfit was the winning choice. (She picked it for BYU).
The girls had a lot of fun making their animals.
Yesterday we had a unique event. It snowed here in Houston! We didn't get very much where we are, in fact, at our house it didn't stick to the ground and the flakes were more like little icy pellets, but it was fun for the kids. Jeremy and Nicole got to play outside a lot at school. When it was coming down the heaviest, they let all of the kids go out side and play in it. I took Max outside and let him run around a little. You can't see it very well in the pictures, but there were flakes. I also had to take a picture of our neighbor's lawn service who decided to come mow the lawn while it was snowing.
Max catching snowflakes on his tongue.
You can't see the snow, but it was coming down when I took this picture.
Today was supposed to be the first basketball game for both Jeremy and Nicole's teams. Jeremy's game was cancelled because his game was scheduled to be played at the middle school and the school district closed all facilities and cancelled all activities through 1pm today. But Nicole got to play her very first game ever. She played very well. She got to play for 2 1/2 quarters and although she didn't make any baskets, she was right in there on defense stealing the ball and helping her team. She even drew a foul as she tried to shoot one time and got two free throws. She didn't make the shots, but she gave a good effort. It was really fun to watch her play and her team won the game 23-10. Jeremy will play next week, so I will have to do an update on him later.
She is number 1. You can see her chasing after that ball.
Here she is again trying to get the ball.
This time she has the ball and she is dribbling down to try and score.
This is a great action shot! This is when she was shooting her free throws. Way to go Nicole!!!
