When Brian came home from work yesterday, we were outside playing, so we decided to give Max his big present from us. Basketball has been the latest craze at our home and Max is really good at dribbling the ball. We decided to get him a basketball goal, because he enjoys playing so much. He was really excited!

Behold a future NBA Basketball Star!!!!
After playing basketball for a bit, we decided it was so nice outside and no one wanted to go in, so we brought all of his presents outside and he got to open them. The pictures below show all of the fun things that he received.

One of Max's favorite movies is Alvin and The Chipmunks. He calls it "Chicka wa wa". He gets this from one of the scenes in the movie when Alvin dances and says "Chicka wa wa! Chicka wa wa!!"

All of the kids have their own scooters and Max always wants to ride theirs. (He is really good at it.) So Grandma and Grandpa Brough got him his own scooter. It is red and he was so excited when he opened it.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!! I really like my scooter!

The other thing that Max has been asking for is The Little Einsteins Rocket that he has seen at Target. So Grandma and Grandpa Crandall got that for him. He loves it! He has been flying it all over the house and when the characters get into Rocket, he makes sure that they walk up the steps first and then sit down in their chairs. He really enjoys this. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Nicole got him the Egypt Mission for The Little Einsteins. It works with Rocket. You can attach one of the pieces from the Egypt mission to Rocket and it will say "Let's go to Egypt." He likes this too. Thank you Nicole!
Last, but not least, Jeremy got him this trash truck. Max loves to watch the trash man come and collect our trash. For several months, whenever we would go to Target, he would go to the truck aisle and play with this trash truck. He would get really sad, if we didn't go to the toys, or if I made him leave before he was done playing. This truck looks just like the ones that come through our neighborhood each week. He is thrilled with this gift. Thanks Jeremy!
After opening presents, we played outside a bit longer and then decided it was time to go get dinner. We went to Chick-fil-a, which is Max's favorite place to go. We ate and played for a little and then came home for cake, ice cream and bed! Max had a great birthday and he was so fun to watch. He really understood that it was his birthday and he was so excited for everything he did and everything that he received. He makes sure that everyone knows that he is not 2 anymore, he is 3!
Thank you to everyone who gave gifts, came to parties, sent cards and called. It really made his day (even if he wouldn't talk to you on the phone!) We love you all!!

Max looks really "thrilled" at the garbage truck! I'm sure he liked it but his face in the picture is funny.
