Family Vacation - Part 2

After our stop in Dallas, we headed to Tulsa, where my mom and dad live.  All of my brothers, my sister and their families were coming for a family reunion. We had not all been together for 3 years.  There were four nephews that were added to the group since our last reunion.  There are 32 of us all together.  It was so fun to be together.  The only sad part was that it was so short.

The first day started with taking family pictures.  I don't have all the pictures yet, but I got a sneak peak at the one above, so I am sharing it.

On the second day we did a service project. We made some care packages for family members who are on missions or are dealing with special issues in their family.  It was really fun.  We made cookies, wrote letters and put other fun things for them to do.  Here are some pictures of the kids making cookies.

After putting together these boxes and eating lunch, we went bowling.  We love to bowl as a family.

I love this picture of my brother holding his baby while bowling.

One of my brothers made this bottle rocket launcher and brought it for us to use.  Everyone had a lot of fun with it.  Here is a video of Nicole holding the rocket.

Then one night was Karoke night!  We used the Wii and played Karoke Revolution and Just Dance.  The kids (big and small) had a great time.

I don't have any pictures of it, but we also had fun swimming at the hotel pool everyday.  It's a good thing that no one else came down there when we were there because we took up the whole pool and left a lot of water on the deck when we left, but we had a great time!

There were other activities and things we did together too. We made flowers for the girl's hair, we played games in the hotel lobby after the kids went to bed.  We ate good food, had a family bingo game and had great devotionals and thoughts each morning and evening.  It all went too fast, but we had a great time together. We look forward to doing it again in two years.

(Look for Part 3 tomorrow)
