New additions to our home

Last week we had some new additions to our home. Our washer decided to give out on us, so we had to get a new washer. But we couldn't stop with just the washer, we had to get the set and the pedistals. So we have a new washer and dryer.



It was only a matter of time before we would change out the window coverings in our home. The first ones to be done were the ones in the family room downstairs and the breakfast area. We decided to try something different this time, so we got woven wood shades. We really like them and they look nice with our furniture. We know what we want to do with the rest of the house, but those windows will have to wait while we pay off our most recent purchases and save for other things we want to get.

Family room windows. The panels on the sides will eventually change also. Those were left by the previous owners.

Here are the ones in the breakfast nook. They really warm up this room.
