THANKSGIVING

OK, so we are a little slow getting these pictures out, but here they are.

Our Thanksgiving celebration began the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We were invited to Brian's Aunt Karen's house to have dinner and visit. The kids got to make gingerbread houses with their second cousins and they had a lot of fun playing and getting to know them. They are looking forward to playing with them again. In fact, Jeremy and Nicole will get to play with them again this Saturday when I go over to let Brian's cousin Natalie cut my hair.

Our Thanksgiving day was great. We had Grandma and Grandpa Brough here with us. In fact, they got to spend almost the whole week with us. On Wednesday the kids made turkey cookies (see pictures below) with grandma. We shared some with our neighbors and we used the rest for place markers at the table.

Brian fried our turkey and we had all the other standard Thanksgiving foods. . . mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and cornbread dressing. Of course before the main meal we had snacks of crackers and cheese, pigs in a blanket, apples and caramel, pretzels and hot apple cider. It was kind of funny that we had hot apple cider because the temperature was in the 70's, but it still tasted good.

After dinner Grandma and I took Jeremy and Nicole to see "Happy Feet". We had a good time. Then we came home and had pie and ice cream. That is the best way to finish off a day of fun and food.

Well, I have to stop for now, but I have more pictures to post, so I will be doing another one later today or tomorrow.
