NICOLE'S ADVENTURES

Today's blog is about Nicole. Nicole is our second child and she is full of life and energy. She is constantly bouncing around looking for something to do. I don't think that she knows how to walk, she seems to run everywhere she goes.

Nicole is a great girl who brings a lot of joy into our home. She is a good student. She likes to read and she is good at math. She loves to draw pictures and write stories. After school she loves to get all of her supplies out and play school with her neighborhood friends. She is also in girl scouts and loves the things that she does there. As I posted earlier in the year, she began piano lessons this fall. She has her first piano recital this Saturday and we are excited to go see her perform the things that she has been working hard to learn.

Below are some pictures of Nicole and some of the things that she has been doing lately.

A couple of months ago Nicole and her class where given the opportunity for an extra credit project. They were to do a diarama of a community of their chosing and make up rules for that community. Nicole's community was named Female Falls. The rules for her community were:
1. No swimming in the duck pond
2. Eat healthy food
3. Always wear shoes
4. No speeding
5. Pick all the flowers you want
6. Always go to bed at 8:00 pm
She had a lot of fun with her project and did a really good job.
As I mentioned above, Nicole is in Girl Scouts. This fall she got to participate in an activity called Brownie Magic. They spent a whole day at a Girl Scout campground doing different activities and making projects. It was a lot of fun. I was able to go with her, so I have some pictures of some of the things that they did.

Here she is learning a dance with a drill team made up of a group of girl scouts.
Here she is putting some beads onto pipecleaners to make a princess crown.

After all of the activities at Brownie Magic, they went to another girl scout camp where they have horses. The girls learned about horses and they had the opportunity to brush the horses. Nicole enjoyed it all except for the helmet she had to wear. She said that it hurt her head.

Last weekend Nicole went with her girl scout troop and the other brownie troops from our service unit to sing Christmas carols at a senior center. They sang really well and the people at the center really enjoyed listening and talking to the girls.
Nicole is a delight to have in our family. We love her very much and we are glad that she enjoys being involved in things and helping other people.

Found it! You have some extremely cute kids!! I can't believe you guys got snow down there. That's awesome. My brother is now living in San Antonio. If we ever get down to visit him we'll have to make a short side trip to visit you.
